In so many expeditions throughout the Zone I cannot attest to one point that more warrants the office of the most tranquil spot therein. A sense of eerie childhood wonder can be evoked here the likes of which elsewhere can’t seem to. For all its colour scheme, always-evolving algae patterns, brick cubicles and Northern institutional stuck-in-the-70s atmosphere, once inside, the acoustics are absurdly quiet, if not for the one robin that has decided to make a nest atop of a window and constantly darts around the bath house stripping tiny bit by bit of wood of anything it bumps into.
